- Account data: name, email/phone, profile photo, language, and preferences.
- Usage data: app activity, feature interactions, timestamps, referral info, and performance diagnostics.
- Device & technical: device type, OS, app version, IP address, and coarse location (city/region) derived from IP.
- Communications: messages, support requests, and metadata related to live sessions and calls.
- Content you provide: posts, reviews, listings, and files you voluntarily upload.
- Cookies and similar tech (web): small files that help remember settings, measure usage, and keep sessions secure.
3. How we use information
- Provide core features such as accounts, chat, circles, Live Store, and notifications.
- Operate the AI assistant to understand queries, surface relevant results, and route conversations.
- Maintain safety and integrity: detect abuse, spam, fraud, and policy violations.
- Improve the service: troubleshoot, analyze performance, and develop new features.
- Communicate with you about updates, security alerts, and support.
- Comply with legal obligations and enforce our Terms.
4. When we share information
- With service providers that process data on our behalf (hosting, analytics, messaging). They must follow strict confidentiality and security obligations.
- With other users when you choose to share (e.g., messages to a provider, posts in a circle, public profiles).

We keep personal data only as long as needed for the purposes above, to comply with law, and to resolve disputes. Retention periods vary by data type and account status. You may request deletion as described below.

- Access & update your profile and settings in the app.
- Download or delete your data by contacting support@chaatie.com.
- Marketing: you can opt out of non‑essential communications from within the message footer or app settings.
- Cookies: adjust browser settings to block or delete cookies; some features may not work as expected.
7. Children’s privacy
Chaatie is not directed to children under the age where parental consent is required by local law. If you believe a child has provided personal data, contact us to remove it.
8. Security
We use administrative, technical, and physical safeguards appropriate to the sensitivity of the data. No system is 100% secure; we encourage strong passwords and keeping your app up to date.
9. International transfers
Your data may be processed in countries other than your own. We take steps to ensure appropriate protections consistent with applicable law.

We may update this policy from time to time. We will post the new date at the top and, when material, provide additional notice.
